Matching Gloss Requirements
For ultra-low gloss effects (60° gloss < 5%), prioritize GMA-type acrylic matting resins compatible with HAA curing agents. If the gloss requirement falls within the 10%–20% range, select a grade compatible with TGIC systems and precisely control the gloss by adjusting the resin-to-curing-agent ratio.

 

Selecting Performance Based on Application Scenarios
Outdoor applications: Prioritize weather-resistant products with a glass transition temperature (Tg) > 60°C and an epoxy equivalent weight of 550–750 to ensure long-term UV resistance and yellowing resistance.
High-flexibility applications (e.g., thermal transfer security doors, bent workpieces): Choose grades with an epoxy equivalent weight of around 700, paired with medium-acid-value (30–35 mg KOH/g) polyesters, to prevent edge cracking or peeling during bending.
Dark-colored coatings: Prioritize resins with low miscibility and high system viscosity to minimize surface bright spots and pattern defects.

 

Matching Formulation and Processing Conditions
Polyester acid value compatibility: For polyesters with an acid value of 30–35 mg KOH/g, select a resin with a corresponding 70:30 curing ratio; for polyesters with an acid value of 20–25 mg KOH/g, select a resin with an 80:20 curing ratio to avoid compromising the matting effect.
Production process compatibility: For standard production lines with extrusion temperatures of 115–125°C, choose resins with a softening point of 135–145°C to ensure uniform material dispersion; for low-temperature curing lines, low-temperature curing GMA resins are suitable options.
