Basic Usage
Powder Coating Systems: Combine with carboxyl-functional polyester at a weight ratio of 70:30. Premix with other components in a high-speed mixer, then process through a twin-screw extruder, pulverize, and sieve. Application is typically performed via electrostatic spraying; using a TGIC curing agent can optimize the mechanical properties of the coating film.
Liquid Coating Systems: Use the acrylic matting resin as the base material and formulate with matting additives such as 3–8% fumed silica and 1–5% wax powder. Adjust the application viscosity to 80–120 seconds (using a No. 4 Ford cup).
Application Guidelines
Recommended spraying pressure is 0.3–0.5 MPa; methods such as air spraying or airless spraying may be used. The amount of thinner added should not exceed 15% of the total paint weight.
Maintain the application environment temperature between 5°C and 40°C with a relative humidity of ≤85%. If the temperature is below 15°C, extend the drying time by 20% to prevent hazing.
Use the prepared mixture within 8 hours to avoid gelation or loss of effectiveness; full curing and maturation take approximately 7 days.
Storage Precautions
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct light to prevent resin settling; stirring once per quarter is recommended. The shelf life is up to 2 years when stored below 32°C. Reseal the packaging immediately after use and keep away from sources of ignition.
